David, originally trained as an actuary, pursued a master’s degree in computer science to deepen his expertise in machine learning. His research in natural language processing focused on integrating external sources into insurance business processes. Currently a doctoral student, David is exploring the personalization of automatically generated content from insurance contracts.

Active in the AI community, David is the creator of Deepparse, a multilingual address parsing library powered by deep learning. He co-founded Meetup Machine Learning Québec to foster knowledge sharing and serves as president of .Layer, a nonprofit promoting data science.

David also launched his own podcast, OpenLayer, on artificial intelligence and contributes to IA Café. He has presented at numerous events, including a webinar by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries on NLP, and a talk on machine learning reproducibility for the Institute Intelligence and Data. His contributions span over twenty technical presentations.
