This privacy policy sets out how Global Innovation Cooperative Summit (GICS) uses and protects any information that you provide, directly or indirectly, when you use our website or our event app. GICS is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using the Services, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy policy.

WHAT WE COLLECT

By signing up at GICS, we collect both personal information and non-personal information. “Personal information” is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.   • Name, gender, email address, mailing address, company and job title and password when you create an account to sign in to our network,
  • Name, email address, phone number, company and job title, and website URLs, including your LinkedIn URL, when you apply to join the Summit community.
  • Name, email address and phone number when you nominate someone to join the Summit community. When you are submitting information for someone other than yourself, please make sure you have that person’s permission to share their information.
  • Name, email address, phone number, company and job title when you nominate yourself or someone else to be a speaker at an event. When you are submitting information for someone other than yourself, please make sure you have that person’s permission to share their information.
  • Email address when you sign up to receive updates from us.
  • Name, credit card information and billing information.

WHAT WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION WE GATHER AND OUR LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • GICS Registration purposes
  • Internal record keeping.
  • To provide and improve our websites, products and services.
  • To facilitate the creation of and secure your account on our network.
  • To respond to your inquiries and send other informational and administrative emails.
  • To periodically send promotional emails

Additionally, GICS website and event apps provide access to, and allow you to modify certain information that you have submitted as part of your profile on Summit’s platform. However, certain data related to usage history of our websites or interaction with our emails may not be visible to you. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at our contact information provided in the Questions section below. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to change this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will also revise the “Last updated on” date above.
