Suha Mohamed is an Innovation Director at the Centre for Data Futures (CDF) at King’s College London. At CDF, she is developing a ‘Data Empowerment Clinic’, a dynamic space that will support community-driven approaches to data empowerment through tailored advisory support, network-building, and knowledge sharing.

For the past 5 years, Suha has been invested in how the social value of data can be unlocked, redistributed and better governed by and for communities. Recently, she consulted for Kalpa Impact, supporting partners in designing impact and funding strategies around the development of inclusive digital public infrastructures. From 2020 to 2023, she led strategy and partnerships at Aapti Institute. There she also directed a number of research projects at its Data Economy Lab (DEL), based in Bangalore, India. At DEL, Suha’s research focused on ‘Digital Trust’ and ‘Data Stewardship’, a framework of governance, and part of the solution towards empowering individuals and communities to have agency around data, while safeguarding their digital rights.

She also has worked at Microsoft with their startup and research divisions to support B2B tech startups, social enterprises and women-founded organizations. During that period, she led a program to enable a set of Ashoka fellows in leveraging technology to amplify their impact. Suha also worked for the Centre for Law and Policy Research (Bangalore), where she focused on issues concerning gender, public health and disability rights.
