Mr. Michel Séguin is a Full Professor in the Department of Management and Human Resources at the School of Management Sciences (ESG) of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). Until recently, he held the Guy-Bernier Chair of Cooperation (CCGB). He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a Ph.D. in Philosophy. His research activities primarily focus on ethical risk management, governance within organizations, and the cooperative model. His work also explores several related disciplines such as organizational behavior, leadership, and decision-making theories.

In addition to his academic background, Mr. Séguin worked for more than twelve years within the Desjardins Movement. From 2016 to 2025, he sat on the Board of Directors of Desjardins Sécurité Financière, where he served as Chair of the Ethics, Human Resources, and Governance Committee. He is also the author of the book “Managing the Ethical Dimension in Business”, published by CEC. Finally, he is an instructor at the Directors College of Université Laval.
