Ilana Gotz is a senior expert at Euricse. Since joining Euricse in 2010, she has worked to support social economy organizations through research, training, and communications projects and has engaged with social economy organizations globally through active participation in and management of various networks and EU funded projects. In this capacity she is currently serving as the global secretariat for the International Co-operative Business Education Consortium (ICBEC) and is a co-coordinator of the Proximity and Social Economy Large Scale Partnership under the EU Pact for Skills. Ilana participated on the steering committee of the Trento European and Italian Volunteering Capital 2024, and was responsible for coordinating the working groups tasked with the implementation of the volunteering strategy as well as for managing the international activities related to the Capital. Since 2012 she has collaborated to produce the World Cooperative Monitor and Stories.coop together with the International Cooperative Alliance. Ilana has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from UCLA (USA) and a Master’s degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago (USA), with a concentration on Community Development and Organizing.
