With a master’s degree in community economic development and a bachelor’s degree in finance, Patrick Cyr has worked for 26 years within the Desjardins Group, particularly in the management of sustainable international development projects. He has worked in 27 different countries to date, including Tanzania where he lived for 3 years and Colombia where he lived for 6 years. His responsibilities have led him to support numerous private and public organizations in matters of governance, risk management, investment, change management, banking operations, and knowledge transfer. He has also served on the board of directors of several financial institutions.. Today, as the Senior Director of International Operations at DID, he is responsible for implementing projects carried out by the organization with the aim of strengthening the economic autonomy of vulnerable populations.
